Welcome to our tutorial on how to create a crate from your SMPL systems account using the Crate Hackers desktop app. A crate is a virtual container that allows you to organize and manage your music files easily. With our step-by-step guide, you'll be able to create your very own crate in no time!


Step 1: Click on SMPL Systems Within the Crate Hackers Desktop App

The first step to creating a crate is to click on "SMPL Systems" within the Crate Hackers desktop app. This will take you to the setup page.


Step 2: Log into Your SMPL Systems Account

To get your personal API key and SMPL URL, you'll need to log into your SMPL systems account. Once you're logged in, navigate to the admin section and then click on "API". Here, you can copy the API key and system URL.


Step 3: Paste the API Key and System URL into the Crate Hackers Desktop App

Now that you have your API key and system URL, you can paste them back into the Crate Hackers Desktop App.


Step 4: View crates

After the login is successful, once you're inside the Crate Hackers Desktop App, you can now see your upcoming events.


Step 5: Share with client

Now your client will log into their portal and be presented with a number of fields to add song requests. When they populate this information, they will also show up inside the Crate Hackers app.


Step 6: Track, Match, Purchase, Stream or Download

Once you've added songs to your crate, you can track, match, purchase, stream, or download them from any participating record pool. You can also add them to your software of choice.
