Importing from Spotify

Do you or your clients use Spotify?

You can seamlessly bring those playlists into Crate Hackers.

  1. Copy the Link

    • Go to your Spotify playlist and copy the link.
  2. Open Crate Hackers

    • Open the Crate Hackers app and find the "Spotify Import" button on the main screen or in the "Tools" section.
  3. Paste the Link

    • Paste the Spotify playlist link into Crate Hackers and click “Next.”
  4. Match Songs

    • Crate Hackers will search your music library to find any matching songs.
  5. Download Missing Songs

    • For missing tracks, Crate Hackers will provide options to purchase them from Amazon, iTunes, record pools, or even physical media.

Importing from Text Files

Have a list of songs in an email or spreadsheet?

Crate Hackers can turn it into a crate in minutes.

  1. Open Text Importer

    • Go to the "Tools" section in Crate Hackers and click "Text Importer."
  2. Name the Crate

    • Assign a name to your crate (e.g., “Julie’s Wedding”).
  3. Copy and Paste

    • Copy the list of songs and paste it into the Text Importer.
  4. Choose Format

    • If your list uses "Title, Artist" or "Title Artist," select the matching format.
  5. Generate Crate

    • Click “Generate Crate,” and Crate Hackers will create a crate from your list.
  6. Match Songs

    • Crate Hackers will search your library for the listed songs.
  7. Find Missing Songs

    • Use Crate Hackers to locate and obtain any songs you don’t already have.
