Overview
Sometimes DJs already have song lists written out — from a client, a friend, or even another DJ software. Instead of rebuilding those playlists manually, Crate Hackers v11 makes it easy to import crates directly from text or a CSV file.
The Import from Text tool lets you paste in a simple list of songs.
The Import from File tool lets you upload a file (like a CSV export) and instantly turn it into a performance-ready crate.
Accessing the Import Tools
Go to your Crate Builder inside Crate Hackers v11.
Choose either:
Import from Text
Import from File
Import from Text
Copy/paste your song list into the box.
Use the format: Artist – Title
Example: ABBA – Dancing Queen
Example: Usher – Yeah!
Pro Tip: Keep it clean — avoid emojis, special characters, or multiple dashes.
If your list has Artist and Title flipped, use the Flip Artist & Title option.
Name your crate (e.g., “Smith Wedding”) for easy reference.
Crate Hackers will then scan your local hard drive (MP3s, WAVs, even MP4s) and mark matches instantly.
Import from File (CSV)
Select Import from File.
Upload a properly formatted CSV file (common from record pools or other software).
Crate Hackers will parse the data and attempt to match each track to your local library.
Any missing tracks can be pulled from your pools, streaming, or purchases.
Key Features
Save Time: No more manual crate building from scratch.
Accurate Matching: Automatically links tracks to your existing library.
Flexible Options: Import from raw text lists or structured files (CSV).
Editable: Add/remove tracks after import like any other crate.
Example Use Cases
Turning a wedding couple’s song list into a crate in seconds

Converting old text-based playlists into organized, mix-ready crates
Building event-specific crates like “Smith Wedding” or “90s Theme Night” without manual searching
