Overview

Welcome to Crate Hackers v11 — the fastest way to organize your music, build DJ crates, and always have the right track at the right time.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through:

  • Downloading and installing Crate Hackers 11

  • Scanning your library for the first time

  • Understanding your Library Health Score

  • Building and exporting your first crate

Step 1: Download and Install

  1. Go to the Crate Hackers 11 download page.

  2. Choose your version:

    • Mac: Select Intel or Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3).

    • Windows: Download the Windows installer.

  3. Install the app:

    • On Mac, drag Crate Hackers into your Applications folder.

    • On Windows, follow the standard installation prompts.

Step 2: Choose Your DJ Software

After launching Crate Hackers 11 for the first time, select the DJ software you use.

  • Supported options: Serato, VirtualDJ, Rekordbox, DJ Pro, and others

  • You can select more than one if needed.

Crate Hackers will automatically locate your tracks and begin scanning them.

Step 3: Scan Your Music Library

  • Crate Hackers will import your existing DJ library (e.g., Serato database).

  • You can also add additional folders under Music Sources → Add Folder.

  • During scanning, you’ll see details such as:

    • Total number of tracks

    • Artists and genres

    • Duplicates detected

    • Your initial Library Health Score

      • Example: After scanning, you might see 5,500 tracks and a starting score of 83/100.

Step 4: Build Your First Crate

  1. Go to the Home page.

  2. Use the crate search bar (e.g., search “Wedding Warmup”).

  3. Crate Hackers will:

    • Show matching songs already in your library

    • Highlight duplicates (e.g., multiple versions of “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter)

    • Suggest additional hot tracks for your event type

  4. Select all the tracks you want to include.

  5. Export your crate:

    • Export as an .m3u file

    • Drag and drop into your DJ software (e.g., Serato, Rekordbox, VirtualDJ)

Step 5: Fill Missing Tracks

If a track isn’t in your library:

  • Check connected record pools (Direct Music Service, Late Night Record Pool)

  • Purchase or stream missing tracks directly from supported integrations

  • Annual members get 30 free days of DMS or LNRP (new users only)

Why This Matters

  • Organize your messy library in minutes

  • Identify duplicates and raise your Library Health Score

  • Build performance-ready crates for weddings, clubs, and themed events

  • Export directly to your DJ software — no manual rebuilding required
