Guests can scan a QR code and submit songs to your Banger Button request queue. You decide what to play and when. The DJ computer and guests need internet access.

Set up a request session

  1. Open Requests in Banger Button.
  2. Check the active session. Use Name this session or Rename session to give it a useful event or venue name.
  3. Use New session when you want a separate request list and QR for another event.
  4. Expand the guest QR area to show its code. In Session options, choose Copy guest link if you need the link.
  5. Before sharing the code with guests, scan it on a phone, submit one test request, and confirm it appears in the intended session’s queue.

Manage incoming requests

  • Song voting: turn it on if you want guests to vote. When available, choose Queue order under Sort; other choices include Latest, Oldest and alphabetical sorts.
  • Played: mark a request after you have played it. This updates the request’s status; it does not play the song for you.
  • Dismiss: remove a request from the pending queue when it will not be used.
  • Local matches: check the version and file availability before using a track. A guest request does not supply audio.

Reuse or retire a QR code

Clear pending requests dismisses the current pending requests and keeps that session’s QR link. Disable this QR stops that session’s printed and shared links from working; other sessions remain active. Read the confirmation before choosing either action.

If requests are not appearing

Check internet access on both devices, the active session and the QR being scanned. A sign from a different or disabled session may not lead to the queue you are viewing. Give the queue a moment to refresh. Creating a new session does not update an old printed QR code.

Open the gear menu and choose Report Issue, or contact support. Include the session name, the device that fails and the exact message. Remove guest names and private event details from screenshots. Reply to an existing support conversation if you already have one. Never send passwords or reset links.
