Use this guide if Crate Hackers will not install, will not open, or your computer says the app is not compatible.

Sometimes the issue is not the app. Sometimes the computer is just old enough to have opinions.

Fast Fix

  1. Download the newest Crate Hackers app from the official page.
  2. Make sure you chose the correct Mac or Windows version.
  3. Confirm your computer meets the current operating system requirements.
  4. Update your computer if needed.
  5. If your computer is too old, use a newer supported computer.

Use The Official Download Page

Download Crate Hackers here:

Do not use old installers. Crate Hackers changes often, and old installers cause support tickets like it is their cardio.

Mac: Choose The Correct Version

If you are on Mac, check whether your computer uses Apple silicon or Intel.

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner.
  2. Click About This Mac.
  3. Look for Chip or Processor.
  • If it says M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer, choose the Mac M-series version.
  • If it says Intel, choose the Mac Intel version.

If Your Mac Is Too Old

If your Mac cannot run the required operating system or blocks the current version of Crate Hackers, you may need to update macOS or use a newer computer.

Older computers can struggle with modern apps, scans, matching, and exports. That does not mean your music is bad. It means the machine is tired.

Windows: Windows 10 Is Not Supported

Crate Hackers no longer supports Windows 10.

If you are using Windows 10, the app may not install, launch, or run correctly. Upgrade to Windows 11 for the best Crate Hackers experience.

If The App Will Not Open

  • Restart your computer.
  • Download the newest installer again.
  • Confirm you chose the right Mac or Windows version.
  • Check your operating system version.
  • Make sure your computer has enough storage available.
  • Temporarily close other heavy apps before launching Crate Hackers.
