Step 2: Install And Log In

Install the app, open it, and log in with the email address connected to your Crate Hackers account.

If you cannot find your login details, search your inbox for Crate Hackers or help@cratehackers.com.

Step 3: Choose Your DJ Software

During setup, choose the DJ software you use most often, such as Serato, VirtualDJ, Rekordbox, djay Pro, Traktor, or another platform.

You can adjust your workflow later. Pick the closest option and keep moving.

Step 4: Scan Your Music Library

Crate Hackers needs to scan your music so it can match songs against crates, charts, and imports.

  1. Open Crate Hackers.
  2. Go to Library.
  3. Open Music Sources.
  4. Add the folder where your music lives.
  5. Run the scan.

Step 5: Build One Simple Crate

Start with one use case:

  • Wedding warmup
  • Cocktail hour
  • Club opening set
  • Clean pop crate
  • Throwback dance floor crate

One working crate beats a giant unfinished library cleanup project.

Step 6: Export And Test

  1. Open the crate you want to use.
  2. Review the songs.
  3. Select or match the tracks you want.
  4. Click Export.
  5. Choose your DJ software or M3U.
  6. Open your DJ software and confirm the crate appears.

What To Avoid On Day One

  • Do not try to clean your whole library immediately.
  • Do not scan random folders just to see what happens.
  • Do not export before the scan is finished.
  • Do not use old installers.
  • Do not panic if some songs show as missing. Matching depends on what is actually in your library.
