Check your version when troubleshooting. A newer test build is not necessarily the version offered to all customers.

Check for an update

  1. Save your work and choose a time when you are not performing.
  2. Open Settings → Check for updates in the desktop app.
  3. Read the version and update status shown. Follow the app’s download and restart prompts if an update is available.
  4. After restarting, confirm the version and test your usual scan, crate and export workflow.

Release check: on September 23, 2026, the standard Mac and Windows update feeds offered 12.0.8. Version 12.0.12 was on the separate Next test channel. These numbers are a dated reference; use your in-app update screen for the latest offer on your channel.

If you see a different version

Send support a screenshot of the update screen and the full app name. A test or other release channel may offer a different build. Do not switch channels, downgrade or install a GitHub test build just because its version number is higher.

If an update fails

Keep the exact error and check your connection and available storage. If the app will not open, use the official download page or ask support for help. Avoid deleting app data as a repair step.

Still need help?

Reply to your existing support email or contact support. Include the version before and after the attempt, full app name and exact update error. Send what you have; you do not need to diagnose the problem first. Never send passwords, reset links or full payment details.
