Spotify import brings in song information, not audio. To export playable local tracks, Crate Hackers must match them to files in your scanned music library.
Import the playlist
- In Spotify, open the playlist and choose Share → Copy link to playlist.
- In Crate Hackers, open Crates → Crate builder → Import from Spotify.
- Paste the playlist link. Wait for the playlist information and tracks to load.
- Enter a crate name and continue with Next when the import is ready.
- Review the crate and its local matches. Check the correct edits before exporting.
Common messages
- Private playlist: connect Spotify when prompted. If you are already connected, check that this Spotify account can access the playlist. Ask its owner to share it appropriately; avoid making a private client list public just to troubleshoot.
- Too many tracks: use a playlist of 200 tracks or fewer, or split a larger list into smaller playlists.
- High traffic or rate limit: wait a few minutes before using Retry. Repeatedly clicking does not make the service recover faster.
- Missing local matches: confirm the files exist and their folders are scanned. A Spotify listing does not mean the audio is on your computer.
Success looks like: the imported songs appear in a saved crate and the tracks you want to export have the correct local matches.

Share a playlist link only if you are comfortable sharing its contents. Send what you have; you do not need to diagnose the problem first. Never send passwords, reset links or full payment details.
