Use the desktop app for DJ exports. An exported crate or M3U playlist points to your music files; it does not download missing audio.
Before exporting
- Connect your music drive and finish scanning it in Library → Music sources.
- Open the crate and check the local matches. Confirm the artist, title and edit for the tracks you want.
- Use the export control for your destination. If the app asks to copy external-drive files locally, read that choice carefully and allow enough storage.
Choose your destination
- Serato: choose Serato and follow the app’s prompts. See the Serato guide.
- rekordbox: choose Rekordbox and save the M3U file. In rekordbox, use File → Import → Import Playlist and open that file.
- VirtualDJ: choose VirtualDJ, then check its playlists. See the VirtualDJ guide.
- Another workflow: save an M3U and check that your DJ software supports importing it. See the M3U guide.
PDF and CSV exports are lists for reference or sharing. They are not audio files or automatically playable DJ crates.
Confirm it worked
Find the exported crate or playlist in your DJ software. Check the track count and order, then load several tracks. Keep an external music drive connected if the playlist still points to it.
If tracks are missing or the export fails
Keep the exact error and compare the expected count with the exported count. Check one missing file in Finder or File Explorer, then use the missing songs guide. Do not delete library data or repeatedly export over the same crate while troubleshooting.

Reply to your existing support email or contact support. Include your Crate Hackers version, DJ software and version, destination, expected/exported counts and one missing track. Send what you have; you do not need to diagnose the problem first. Never send passwords, reset links or full payment details.
