Use this guide to download Crate Hackers, install it on your Mac or Windows computer, and log in for the first time.

Start here if you are brand new to the app, reinstalling Crate Hackers, or setting it up on a new computer.

Fast Fix

  1. Go to www.cratehackers.com/ch11.
  2. Download the correct version for your computer: Mac Intel, Mac M-series, or Windows.
  3. Install the app.
  4. Open Crate Hackers.
  5. Log in with the email and password connected to your Crate Hackers account.

Before You Start

You will need:

  • An active Crate Hackers account
  • Your login email and password
  • A Mac or Windows computer
  • A stable internet connection
  • Access to your email inbox

Login email tip:

Your login details are usually sent by email from:

help@cratehackers.com

Check your inbox first. If you do not see the email, check spam, promotions, updates, or junk folders.

Step 1: Go to the Official Download Page

Open your web browser and go to:

www.cratehackers.com/ch11

Use the official download page.

Do not use old saved installers, old bookmarks, or random old links. Crate Hackers changes often, and old installers are where confusion goes to start a family.

Step 2: Choose the Correct Version

On the download page, choose the version that matches your computer.

You will usually see options for:

  • Mac Intel
  • Mac M-series
  • Windows

Choose carefully. The wrong version may not install or open correctly.

How to Know Which Mac You Have

If you are on a Mac and are not sure which version to download:

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner.
  2. Click About This Mac.
  3. Look for the chip or processor.

Mac version guide:

  • If it says Apple M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer, choose Mac M-series.
  • If it says Intel, choose Mac Intel.

Step 3: Install Crate Hackers on Mac

After the Mac download finishes:

  1. Open the downloaded file.
  2. Drag the Crate Hackers app into your Applications folder.
  3. Open your Applications folder.
  4. Launch Crate Hackers.

If your Mac blocks the app:

If your Mac asks for permission to open the app, approve it. If the app does not open right away, right-click the app and choose Open. Then confirm that you want to open it.

Step 4: Install Crate Hackers on Windows

After the Windows download finishes:

  1. Open the downloaded installer.
  2. Follow the setup prompts.
  3. Allow the installer to finish.
  4. Open Crate Hackers from your desktop or Start menu.

Windows note: If Windows asks for permission to run the installer, allow it after confirming you downloaded it from www.cratehackers.com/ch11.

Step 5: Log In

Once Crate Hackers opens, enter your login details.

Use the email and password connected to your Crate Hackers account.

Use the correct email.

Your login email may have come from help@cratehackers.com. Make sure you are using the same email address connected to your Crate Hackers account.

After you log in, you should land on the Crate Hackers dashboard.

What You Should See After Logging In

After login, you should see the main Crate Hackers dashboard.

This is where you will connect your DJ software, scan your music, build crates, view charts, and export playlists.

Do not try to learn everything at once.

For now, the goal is simple: get the app installed and get logged in. That is the win.

Best First Workflow After Login

After installing Crate Hackers, do this in order:

  1. Log in.
  2. Choose your DJ software.
  3. Scan your music library.
  4. Build one simple crate.
  5. Export that crate to your DJ software.
  6. Test the crate before using it at a real gig.

Do not try to fix your entire library on day one. That is how a simple setup turns into a basement investigation with snacks.

If You Cannot Find Your Login Email

Try these first:

  1. Search your email for Crate Hackers.
  2. Search for help@cratehackers.com.
  3. Check spam or junk folders.
  4. Check promotions or updates folders.
  5. Make sure you are checking the email address you used when signing up.

If Your Login Does Not Work

Check the basics first:

  • Make sure your email is typed correctly.
  • Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after your email.
  • Make sure your password is typed correctly.
  • Try copying and pasting the password from your login email.
  • Restart the app and try again.

Tiny typo, giant headache. Very normal. Very annoying. Usually very fixable.

If the App Will Not Open

Try this:

  • Restart your computer.
  • Make sure you downloaded the correct version.
  • On Mac, confirm whether you need Intel or M-series.
  • On Windows, make sure the installer finished completely.
  • Delete the installer and download it again from www.cratehackers.com/ch11.
